Restoration of Flood-Damaged Road in Guna District Underway Following Minister's Intervention

Immediate Action Taken for Road Reconstruction

The reconstruction of the flood-damaged Karamdi-Parantha road has resumed thanks to the swift action taken by Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Continuous heavy rainfall in Guna district over the past few days has severely disrupted local life, causing significant damage to homes, roads, pathways, and bridges, leading to considerable hardships for residents.

Minister Scindia Responds to Local Concerns

Upon learning about the situation, Scindia, who serves as the Union Minister for Communications and Northeast Development, promptly directed relevant officials to take immediate action and find a suitable solution. According to the sub-engineer and the village panchayat secretary, the road is approved under the MGNREGA scheme, and construction is currently in progress. They noted that the heavy rains had hindered the bridge's construction but assured that the work would be completed within a week.

Relief Expected for Local Residents

Local residents expressed that the bridge's collapse had made it extremely difficult for children to attend school and for patients to reach hospitals. With Scindia's intervention, there is hope for prompt relief for the villagers. Once the construction is finalized, connectivity between Karamdi, Parantha, and nearby villages will be restored, allowing life to return to normal. Scindia has been closely monitoring the situation in his parliamentary constituency, which has been affected by heavy rainfall and flooding, and has assured all possible support. He has also toured the flood-affected areas alongside the state's Chief Minister, Dr. Mohan Yadav.
